remembering me
August 30, 2008 by manonton dalan filed under Poetry | 183 viewsi look up and spread my limbs
i close my eyes, darkness claims
my private world, half a dream
no way out, not even a seam
ruffling leaves teasing my escape
as well as mighty crashing waves
i stood there under unforgiving sun
my mind already wandered beyond
i decided to walk down rushing sea
with a hope sound would guide me
then i feel sand pouring on my hand
could be somebody fooling around
hear a whisper i could have heard before
my mind pause, trying to paint a picture
i remember those voices, hymns of night
i turn around to see, what a beautiful sight
it is you my pretty girl with sweet smile
and face that has been a dream for a while
ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
continuation from daily walk to the bay.
(i’m not trying to drown myself walking
towards rushing sea. it’s old habit. i stop
when i reach chin deep)
